Earlier this week, Denver got a reprise of winter. The less favorable weather provided a good excuse to stay in a take care of some odds and ends. I ventured out a again today for couple hikes. First a short walk along some Lookout Mountain Nature Center trails. Then, a more respectable loop in nearby Apex Park. Both trails had patches of mud and slushy snow, but were in pretty good shape considering. The melting snow charged an intermittent stream through Apex Gulch, which I paralleled for my final mile or two in that park. It was a nice addition.
