One of three claimants to the title "birthplace of the Republican Party." Jackson, Michigan & a town in New Hampshire also claim the honor.
The museum was closed today so all I could do is read the historical marker & take a couple pictures.

The story in Ripon is the decision to start the party was here; the first convention was in Detroit. So Ripon claims the "birthplace" of the Republican party.
