Ronald Reagan Presidential Library

Yesterday, I went to visit another cousin, Steve Vandewalle. He lives northeast of San Diego. It was a long drive from Phoenix, but I'm glad I stopped by even if only for a short visit. They kindly allowed me to stay with them last night. This morning, I drove north of LA to see a friend from U of M.

After an In n' Out Burger lunch, we went to the Reagan Museum & Library. The museum recently redid the displays. There were a lot of neat & interesting items on exhibit: the suit he wore during the assassination attempt, his hand-written "farewell" letter, part of the Berlin Wall, and Air Force One.

He's is buried in a beautiful setting on the grounds. The whole museum sits atop a hill overlooking Semi valley.  The opposite hills were positively aglow in the late afternoon sun
